The Kansas Highway Patrol has announced plans to have virtual vehicle ID number inspections.
If you need a VIN inspection, you need to submit a clear picture of a government photo ID and current telephone number. A clear photo of the front and back of the vehicle title with all buyer and seller information filled in must be sent, along with clear photos of the public VIN and the VIN plate, the public VIN with the front of the title, the Federal Certificate Label inside the driver door — both as a standalone and with the front of the title, odometer, engine compartment, vehicle front, vehicle driver side and vehicle model.
All information must be emailed to the Highway Patrol.
