The investigation continues into Monday’s incident where shots were allegedly fired into a west Emporia house.
Emporia Police Lt. Dave DeVries says officers have released one person arrested this week in connection with the case. Chaska Lacey, 19, had been arrested on suspicion of criminal discharge of a firearm and contributing to a child’s misconduct.
The status of a second person arrested, a 15-year-old juvenile, has not been divulged. That person was arrested on suspicion of criminal discharge of a firearm.
The case developed around 1 pm Monday after reports of shots fired in the 300 block of Sunnyslope. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
