US Senate candidate Usha Reddi is out of the race.
Reddi has officially suspended her campaign effective immediately. Reddi, a two-term city commissioner and the current mayor of Manhattan, says she is bowing out of the race so her work as mayor can be her “first and only priority.”
Reddi had paused her Senate campaign at the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March. She had been among a crowded field of Democrats and Republicans seeking the Senate seat opening up when current Senator Pat Roberts retires at the end of this year.
