The National Weather Service has cancelled a flood warning for the Neosho River near Emporia.
A flood warning remains in affect for the Neosho River in Neosho Rapids until 7:30 pm Sunday. As of 8:30 pm Saturday the river was at 22.3 feet above the flood stage of 22 feet and dropping.

Noon Saturday: UPDATE: Kansas Highway 99 north of Emporia reopened; County closure list remains lengthy
Road conditions are seemingly improving following significant flooding across the KVOE listening area over the past 48-hours.
Kansas Highway 99 North of Emporia is now fully reopened to traffic after being closed down throughout Friday due to heavy rainfall Thursday. Several road closures still remain in place across the local area.
The current closure list includes:
*Road 250 and Road N
*Road 250 and Road P
*Road 170 from Road P to Road R1
*Road H north of Road 160
*Rd H5 & Rd 215 keeping traffic off of Rd 215.
*Road J from 240 to 246
*2500, 2600 blocks Road N
*2500, 2600 blocks Road P
*RD 190 west of Burlingame Rd
*900,1000 block Road 150
*800 block Road 215
*700 block of road 260 north of West Highway 50 and Road A
*400 block Road 240
*400, 500 blocks Road 260
*1200 block Road 270
*Road 150 between Roads P and R
*Rd 215 approx. a quarter-mile west of Rd H5. Motorists are advised not to travel east.

Thursday storms brought as much as four inches of rainfall and have led to a number of flood warnings being in place for much of the weekend. A river based flood warning continues for the Neosho River from Emporia to Neosho Rapids.
*At Emporia, the warning is in place until11:30 am Sunday. The river is at 22.2 feet and dropping. The flood stage is 19 feet. The river crested at 22.42 ft Saturday morning. The river could go below flood stage late Saturday afternoon.
*At Neosho Rapids, the warning goes until 7:30 pm Sunday. The river is currently at 23.18 feet, above the 22-foot flood stage with moderate flooding being reported. The projected crest is 23.2 feet Saturday, with the river projected to return to its banks Saturday evening.
A flash flood watch remains in effect for Greenwood County until 7 pm Saturday.
