Row crop producers are catching a bit of a break from a wet two weeks.
The KVOE studios have received almost 5 inches of rain the last two weeks, including 1.8 inches of rain two weeks ago and 1.6 inches of rain this past Thursday. Other places in the KVOE listening area are likely above 6 inches of rain since May 4.
Lyon County Extension ag agent Brian Rees says the first half of the week is just what’s needed for area farmers.
Sunshine and temperatures in the 70s will be evident through Wednesday. The current forecast has slight to moderate chances of showers and thunderstorms beginning Thursday and continuing through the upcoming weekend. We’ll keep you updated on KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media.
