COVID-19 is affecting plans for the second annual Halfway to Everywhere Festival, but the virus hasn’t canceled the event.
Festival organizer Hank Osterhout says about 25 bands are expected to be part of the festival, which is set to take place all day Sept. 5. Having said that, Osterhout also says coronavirus has added several layers of planning and potential adjustments.
Osterhout says some musicians have said they likely won’t tour at all this year, so they have bowed out — but there are just a few slots available. If Halfway to Everywhere moves forward with the current format, Osterhout plans to group musical acts by genre and add a fifth stage.
