Friday’s hard rainfall caused the Lyon County Highway Department to close two roads, one near Olpe and one near Emporia.
*Road 150 between Roads N and P
*Road K-7, also known as Olpe Lake Road, between Roads 65 and 70
The rainfall also lengthened the time needed to get four other roads reopened after flooding a week ago:
*Road 130 between Roads F5 and G
*Road 180 between Roads S and T
*Road C-3 between Roads 300 and 307
*Road U between Roads 155 and 170
Rainfall amounts ranged from 0.70 inches near Neosho Rapids to 1 inch at the KVOE studios and Americus to nearly 2 inches at Osage City. More rain is possible starting Saturday night and continuing through at least Friday. We’ll keep you updated on KVOE and KVOE.com.
