An Olpe man was hurt after a crash near the town Saturday night.
Lyon County Deputy Nathan Rankin says 48-year-old Russell Dedmon crashed on Kansas Highway 99 north of Road 80 shortly before 9:15 pm. Dedmon was riding a motorcycle southbound on the highway when he hit an animal. Dedmon lost control and went off the motorcycle.
Dedmon was taken to Newman Regional Health. Additional details are pending. Deputies are investigating.
11 pm Saturday: Motorcycle crash on K-99 sends one person to Newman Regional Health
One person was hurt in a motorcycle wreck north of Olpe on Saturday night.
The crash happened around 9:15 pm on Kansas Highway 99 north of Road 80. The crash victim was taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
K-99 has been blocked between Roads 80 and 90 since the wreck. An investigation is underway.
