One person was taken by ambulance from the scene of a single-vehicle rollover accident on Memorial Day.
According to Lyon County Deputy Zack Schafer, a 1997 GMC Yukon driven by 48-year-old Karin Platt of Virgil was traveling northbound in the 500 block of South Kansas Highway 99 when Platt lost control. The vehicle then left the roadway, entered the east ditch, overcorrected and rolled multiple times coming to a rest on its wheels.
Weather is believed to have been a factor in the accident. Platt was taken to Newman Regional Health with non-life threatening injuries. No other occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Platt was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
