When it comes to “feel-good hormones” are you getting your daily DOSE?
If not, Emporia State University Health and Human Performance Professor Dr. Jennifer Thomas had the tips to help you increase your feel-good levels during her monthly visit on KVOE’s Morning Show Tuesday. During the show Dr. Jen discussed the four main feel-good hormones dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins (DOSE).
According to Dr. Jen there are a number of ways to increase your levels including exercise, goal setting, getting more sunshine, acupuncture and, believe it or not, taking a cold shower. While the last option may not sound like the most enjoyable Dr. Jen assures listeners that it has been proven to be effective.
