Emporia Main Street is moving on in the America’s Main Street contest.
Emporia Main Street is now one of 10 semifinalists after the last round of voting concluded last week. Emporia is now competing with the following cities:
*Bedford, Pennsylvania
*Columbia, Kentucky
*Chattahoochee, Florida
*Homer, Louisiana
*Hope, Arkansas
*Macon, Georgia
*Osborne, Kansas
*Snohomish, Washington
*Sykesville, Maryland
The winning community gets $25,000, assistance from the downtown revitalization group Flip This Town and new tools provided by Stihl.
