One man is under arrest after alleged criminal activity in Greenwood County and a brief escape from custody in Lyon County.
Lyon County Deputy Nathan Rankin says Greenwood County authorities asked for help from Lyon County in finding 45-year-old Matthew Beeson, who was wanted for questioning after unspecified financial crimes in Madison recently.
On Thursday, Lyon County deputies found Beeson at Howie’s Tire Shop in Olpe with an allegedly stolen vehicle, trailer and other items from alleged recent burglaries in Emporia. Beeson briefly escaped custody but was found shortly afterward in Olpe, arrested and jailed.
Formal charges are currently pending.
