A teenager accused of shooting into at least one of several homes in Emporia between Thanksgiving and Christmas has a hearing in Lyon County District Court on Monday.
Adam Cole Burnett, 18, has been charged with reckless criminal discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling and burglary of a dwelling with intent to steal a firearm.
Charges were filed in mid-December after shots were fired into four dwellings — 531 East Logan, 1101 Congress apartments 1 and 2 and 202 South Neosho.
Burnett was 17 at the time of the alleged shootings, and a motion is on the table to have him certified as an adult for upcoming court proceedings. The hearing is at 9 am.
