An Emporian accused of shooting into at least one of four homes or apartments in December will be back in court Friday.
Adam Cole Burnett, 18, sat through a motions hearing Monday. Judge Lee Fowler approved a prosecution motion to add a count of felony criminal damage to his current list of charges, including reckless criminal discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling and burglary of a dwelling with intent to steal a firearm.
Further action on a motion to certify Burnett as an adult — he was 17 at the time of the alleged shootings — was tabled until 1:30 pm Friday.
Charges were filed in mid-December after shots were fired into four dwellings — 531 East Logan, 1101 Congress apartments 1 and 2 and 202 South Neosho.
