Emporia State University has slated an open online forum to discuss the recent events revolving around the death of George Floyd and the state of race relations in general.
“Humanity First: A conversation inspired by Mr. George Floyd” will be a Zoom meeting from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm Friday. ESU Chief Diversity Officer Dr. Aswad Allen says the event will be “a safe place” for dialogue instead of a presentation.
People wanting to participate need to go online to www.emporia.edu/live to register or submit questions and comments. A Zoom link will then return via email.
Allen will join KVOE’s Newsmaker 3 segment at 8:40 am Thursday with details.
