The NBA is back.
The Board of Governors approved a plan for a regular season, play-in tournament and playoffs by a 29-1 vote. Portland voted against the proposal, which had heavy input from the players union according to sources.
Not all teams will be involved. The plan as approved has nine Eastern Conference teams and 13 Western Conference teams playing eight regular-season games.
The top eight teams in each conference, along with the teams within six games of the final playoff spots as part of the play-in tournament.
The agreement is contingent on an agreement with Walt Disney to use the Disney Resort for all games, practices and housing. The current plan has five or six games per day in Orlando with four hours between games to account for potential overtimes, cleanings and warmups.
