Emporia Presbyterian Manor says one of its employees has contracted coronavirus.
Presbyterian Manor says the worker has been serving in a “non-direct” resident care role. That person is currently in isolation.
Presbyterian Manor also says the worker had a shift Tuesday and reported for work Wednesday but was sent home after not passing a screening test. Presbyterian Manor has confirmed the employee had no direct contact with residents, based on the Lyon County Health Department’s criteria of being less than six feet from people for at least 10 minutes, going back three days before the onset of symptoms.
Employees with prolonged direct contact with the worker have been told to quarantine for two weeks and monitor for symptoms. Presbyterian Manor has not said how many workers may be in that category.
