(Sporting News) Conor McGregor says he retired again from fighting because “the game does not excite” him and that he is frustrated over being offered “stupid fights” by UFC.
It’s the third time in four years McGregor has said he’s retiring. He had originally announced plans to have three fights this year and defeated Donald Cerrone in January, but the coronavirus, a canceled title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson and then Ferguson’s loss to Justin Gaethje caused McGregor to change his mind.
McGregor announced his decision on social media right after UFC 250 ended Saturday night.
