The Flint Hills Beef Fest Celebration has become the latest community event to go by the wayside during the coronavirus pandemic.
Board members say continuing uncertainties resulting from COVID-19 and community health concerns led to the decision.
Cattle contests are ongoing at this time. The committee’s goal is to hold the winter Feedlot and Carcass Awards Celebration in February and have the annual public celebration in August 2021.
Committee member Brian Rees will have more on the decision on Tuesday’s Newsmaker 2 segment following Tech Talk on KVOE and KVOE.com.
