After Monday’s announcement the Flint Hills Beef Fest celebration was canceled, committee member Brian Rees gave further insight into that decision on KVOE’s Morning Show on Tuesday.
Coronavirus is to blame for the rearrangement, which is the second straight year for a major adjustment for Beef Fest. A scheduling conflict at the Fairgrounds pushed the celebration to White Auditorium last year.
Cattle contests are ongoing at this time.
The committee’s goal is to hold the winter Feedlot and Carcass Awards Celebration in February and have the annual public celebration in August 2021.
