There will be a Night of Inspiration for Flint Hills Technical College this year — but it will be a virtual event.
On KVOE’s Tech Talk on Tuesday, College Vice President of Advancement Mike Crouch said the decision to use a virtual format was made “out of respect for the community.”
Regardless of the date or format, Crouch says the fundraiser is needed so the college can help students, both now and down the road.
Live and silent auction items will still be available with live items being auctioned off in real-time. Participants will be able to phone or text in their bids during the auction broadcast that can be viewed on KVOE, the FHTC Foundation’s Facebook page and ValuNet channel 3 beginning at 6 p.m. that evening.
Silent auction items will be available for bidding using a computer or mobile device beginning July 27 on https://FHTC2020.givesmart.com. Tickets are not necessary. People wishing to participate will need to register and add a credit card on the Givesmart auction website in order to bid on items.
