The KVOE listening area starts this week with nearly 580 confirmed and probable positive coronavirus cases since the pandemic hit the area just about three months ago.
Lyon County’s weekend stats will be announced by mid-afternoon. The county has 465 total cases, with 409 recovered patients, 49 active cases and six deaths. Two of the deaths are uncategorized because they were not related to meatpacking or other private industry.
Elsewhere across the area:
*Coffey County has 52 total cases. Forty-four patients have recovered. Coffey County has had eight deaths due to COVID-19.
*Wabaunsee County has 31 cases with all patients recovered.
*Greenwood County has 11 cases including one active patient.
*Osage County has 10 total cases, three of which are active.
*Morris County has five overall cases. All patients have recovered.
*Chase County has three overall cases. All patients have recovered.
Statewide, Kansas has 11,047 cases with 243 deaths. Lyon County remains eighth in the total number of COVID-19 cases for the state.
