The Emporia State football team will kick-off the 2020 season on September 12th at Washburn. The MIAA released the 10 game schedule for each school Tuesday.
The home opener for the Hornets will be on September 19th against Pittsburg State.
Emporia State will play 5 home games and 5 road games.
They will also host Northeastern State on September 26th.
Missouri Western October 17th.
Northwest Missouri State October 24th.
They will close out the regular season at home against Missouri Southern on November 14th.
The road games will be at Central Oklahoma on October 3rd.
At Central Missouri on October 10th.
At Lincoln on October 31st.
and at Fort Hays State on November 7th.
The only MIAA team they will not face will be Nebraska Kearney.
Game times will be announced at a later date.
The MIAA will release the womens soccer and volleyball schedules tomorrow.
The basketball schedules will be released Thursday.
The basketball schedules will not include non conference opponents. However exhibition games will be included.
Baseball, softball and tennis schedules will be released Friday.
The MIAA CEO council also announced changes to the post season tournaments yesterday.
The basketball tournaments will be played over 4 days and feature the top 8 teams.
Softball and baseball will be played over 4 days and feature the top 8 teams.
Soccer will be played over a weekend and feature the top 4 teams.
Volleyball will be held over 2 days and feature the top 6 teams.
The track and field meets will be held over 2 days.
The tennis tournaments will be played over 2 days. The men will feature the top 4 teams and the women the top 6 teams.
