The Emporia Lady Spartans 18 year old girls softball team opened play in the Jimmy Johns Freaky Fast 6 game smash in Kansas City Friday with a 6-0 win over the Kansas City Bombers.
They broke the game open with a 4 run 3rd inning. Andi Wilson was the winning pitcher giving up no runs on 1 hit with 3 strikeouts. She also drove in a run and scored a run.
The Lady Spartans also lost PSA Messer 11-2. The Lady Spartans scored both runs in the 1st inning on a Paige Thomas double. Messer scored 7 runs in the 3rd inning and added 3 runs in the 4th for the win.
The Lady Spartans are scheduled to play 2 more games Saturday.
