Non-life-threatening injuries were reported following a rollover accident near Emporia’s west city limits Monday morning.
Authorities were called to the Kansas Turnpike Emporia exit at mile marker 127 southbound shortly after 7:40 am. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log a southbound 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser, driven by 30-year-old Corina Menjivar of Emporia, was traveling too fast on the exit ramp, lost control and rolled.
The crash log states that EMS transported Menjivar from the scene, however, the Emporia Fire Department tells KVOE News two individuals were taken from the accident to Newman Regional Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash log indicates Menjivar was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Two people have been brought to Newman Regional Health for treatment after a crash near Emporia’s west city limits Monday morning.
Authorities responded to the Kansas Turnpike Emporia exit, mile marker 127 southbound, shortly after 7:40 am. One vehicle had rolled at that location.
