The USD 253 Emporia Board of Education is meeting Wednesday evening.
Superintendent Kevin Case will have an update on plans for the start of the upcoming school year in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Separately, board members will discuss approving a three-year, $80,000 grant from the Lifetime Foundation to help the Food Service Department make more meals from scratch and rely less on highly processed foods. In addition, board members may approve the purchase of iPads for 4-year-old students at Maynard Early Childhood Center at a cost of over $55,000.
