The pro disc golf season is up and running again, and Emporia is taking center stage this weekend.
The Dynamic Discs Open takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Emporia Country Club. On KVOE’s Newsmaker segment Wednesday, event coordinator Doug Bjerkaas said there will be social distancing protocol in place for the players.
Not only is this the resumption of the disc golf season after coronavirus put a halt on tournaments back in March, it’s the first time the Pro Disc Golf Tour has had an event in Emporia. Over 140 of the world’s best disc golfers are taking part in the three-day tourney.
You can watch the tournament this weekend. ValuNet will air the tourney on its channel 3. The Disc Golf Network will also carry the tournament.
