Lyon County’s active COVID-19 case number decreased slightly once again Friday. The active number of cases is now back at 24, a decrease of one from Thursday according to Lyon County Public Health’s update Friday.
Two new cases have been reported bringing the total number of positive and probable positive cases to 493 with three new recoveries bringing that total to 461.
Seven deaths have been recorded so far in Lyon County due to coronavirus.
As for Area counties: Wabaunsee, Osage, Coffey, Greenwood and Chase are reporting 1 active case. Morris County is reporting no active cases.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is reporting 568 new COVID-19 cases since Wednesday. The total number of confirmed positive and probable cases is now at 13,538. There have been 3 new deaths, increasing the total number of deaths to 264.
The number of counties reporting COVID-19 cases is now up to 95. That leaves 10 counties reporting no active cases.
