Although this year’s Flint Hills Technical College Night of Inspiration Gala will not be in person, the college is pulling out all the stops to still bring the gala directly to you.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the gala, like most events on the community calendar, will be moving to a virtual format this year. FHTC Vice-President of Advancement Mike Crouch says despite the changeover, the college has developed a number of ideas to ensure you still get the best experience possible.
Crouch says a staple of the annual gala event is the delicious food the culinary department creates for everyone to enjoy, and he was happy to announce that you still can thanks to the creation of the college’s “Wrangler Party Packs” to cater your gala night viewing party.
Residents will be able to select one of two food options, a barbecue or pasta party pack, with each pack capable of feeding four people. If you order a party pack for the Gala you can pick it up via curbside delivery that night.
Not only does this allow viewers to enjoy the department’s delectable offerings, but it also provides a wonderful learning experience for their students.
The cost of each pack is $120. Crouch adds, that the Culinary Arts Department will not be the only FHTC department on display during the gala.
He says the college’s media department will also be on full display as they’ll be in charge of ensuring the gala is viewable for you within your home. Crouch says while it is the newest department at the college, the media department has quickly become an integral piece in many of FHTC’s major events.
FHTC’s Night of Inspiration Gala will take place on Friday, Jul. 31 with activities beginning at 6 pm. All proceeds from the gala benefit scholarships for FHTC students.
