A full moon and clear skies served as the perfect backdrop for Lebo’s Fourth of July fireworks show Saturday evening.
The show closed down a day full of patriotic activities as part of Lebo’s annual Stars and Stripes Celebration. Additional activities included a car show, lawnmower races, horseshoes and cornhole tournaments and the traditional parade.
Activities will conclude Sunday with the annual Tractor Pull beginning at 1 pm. Lebo was one of few local communities to go forward with its Fourth of July celebration after the COVID-19 pandemic altered the plans of many other communities including canceling the annual Emporia fireworks show.
Cottonwood Falls also held a fireworks show which took place on Friday evening.
