Emporia Police are investigating a disorderly conduct incident from Sunday afternoon in west Emporia that may be connected to a reported possible shooting in southeast Emporia, even though there is no evidence of any shots fired Sunday night.
Around 5 pm, officers were called to an incident at Wash and Vac, 2152 West Highway 50. As many as five people were involved. Other details have not been divulged.
Around 9:30 pm, officers went to the 500 block of East Logan after a report of a possible shooting. Law enforcement investigated for roughly an hour on East Logan between South Cottonwood and Wild Turkey but found no evidence of anything shooting-related.
Officers have not mentioned the potential connections between the two incidents. Names have not been released.
