More discussions for the 2020-21 school year will highlight the USD 253 Board of Education’s regular meeting Wednesday evening.
Superintendent Kevin Case will discuss current plans for the start of school in August. During the board’s last meeting, Case said an exact plan for what classes will look like next month was still in the works, however, the current options could include a return to in-person classes, a resumption of online learning or a hybrid of the two.
Additionally, the board will receive a timeline for the fiscal year 2021 budget from Assistant Superintendent for Business Operations Rob Scheib. A number of annual house cleaning items including the appointment of board members to various committees, approval of the home rule resolution, the establishment of the board’s regular meeting time and place for the 2020-21 year and a generally accepted accounting principles waiver will also see consideration.
One executive session may also occur. The meeting begins at 7 pm and will be viewable on the district’s website.
