There is another decrease with the number of active COVID-19 cases in Lyon county. Lyon County Public Health is reporting 18 active COVID-19 cases in Wednesdays update.
That is a decrease of 6 from Tuesday.
1 new case is reported in Wednesdays update. That increases the total number of confirmed positive and probable positive cases to 511.
The number of recoveries is up to 485, an increase of 7. 1 case is hospitalized.
There have been 3048 tests conducted in Lyon County since early March.
During the last 14 days there have been 1039 tests conducted with 22 positive tests.
Three surrounding counties are reporting active cases.
Osage County is now reporting 7 active cases for 21 total cases.
Wabaunsee County is reporting 37 total cases with 3 active.
Chase County is reporting 1 active case.
Coffey, Greenwood and Morris Counties are reporting no active cases.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is reporting 717 new COVID-19 cases since Monday. That increases the total number of confirmed positive and probable positive cases to 17,618.
KDHE is also reporting 34 new hospitalizations. There have been 1269 hospitalizations since the begining of the pandemic.
There were 2 new deaths reported increasing the total to 282.
