Emporia Fire was called out to a brush fire near a city facility early Friday, but there was no evidence of any fire.
Fire crews were called out to a brush fire outside the Wastewater Treatment Plant, 801 Gavin Road, shortly before 6:15 am.
At the time, there was a report of smoke. Firefighters investigated, finding no fire and little evidence of any smoke.
