The state’s guidance model for reopening schools next month in light of coronavirus is in the hands of district officials across Kansas and will get a hearing in front of the Kansas Association of School Boards next week.
The “Navigating Change 2020” document is meant as a framework to help districts reopen safely with solid learning environments in place. Mor than 1,000 residents associated with education worked on the recommendations the past few months.
Details about the plan are not being released until next week. The Navigating Change discussion will take place at a KASB meeting Wednesday.
