The body of a missing three-year-old child whose disappearance triggered an AMBER alert Friday is believed to have been found.
Three-year-old Olivia Jansen was reported missing by her father after he awoke Friday morning to find her missing from their home in Kansas City Kansas. An AMBER alert was issued asking Kansas and Missouri residents to be on the lookout for the child.
The AMBER alert was canceled after police located a body in a Kansas City neighborhood just before 6 pm Friday evening. According to WIBW in Topeka, the body was located just off a walking trail and is believed to be Jansen, although official confirmation is still pending.
Further details will not be released by KCK Police until after the body is officially identified and the scene of where the body was found is thoroughly examined.

11 am Friday: AMBER Alert issued for missing KCK girl
Residents across Kansas and Missouri are asked to be on the lookout for a girl from Kansas City, Kansas, who has been missing since early Friday morning.
The KCK Police Department says 3-year-old Olivia Ann Jansen was last seen at her home wearing pink pajamas. Her hair was in a ponytail. Authorities report Jansen’s father woke up and found she was not in the house, which had the back door open. Investigators believe she was taken from the house, given her age and the results of a nearby search.
An AMBER Alert has been issued for Jansen, who is a white female, 3-foot tall, 50 pounds, with brown hair and blue-green eyes. Anybody with information is asked to call 911 or the KCK Police Department at 913-596-3000.
