The National Weather Service has expanded its original outlook for severe weather Saturday.
Southeastern and Eastern Kansas, including portions of the KVOE listening area, have been placed into an enhanced risk category for severe storm activity. Storms are likely to develop between the afternoon and evening hours with large hail as the main concern.

The KVOE listening area could experience storm activity, with some storms possibly becoming severe.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slught severe weather risk south of a Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve line from Americus to Osage City. A marginal risk also exisits north of that line.
