Lyon County deputies are investigating a hit-and-run incident near Emporia from Wednesday afternoon.
Shortly before 2 pm, deputies say a pickup truck sideswiped a cyclist in the 1500 block of Road N, turned west on Road 160 — also called Logan Avenue — and drove into Emporia. The driver failed to stop and check on the cyclist, later identified as Clifford Allen of Emporia.
The truck is described as a newer white Ford F-150 crew cab.
Allen was taken to Newman Regional Health with minor injuries.
