The Emporia Senior baseball team closed out the season with a doubleheader sweep of Iola Friday night.
The 19s won the first game 8-0. They scored 5 runs in the 3rd inning. Cam Geitz had the big hit, a bases loaded triple.
Cade Kohlmeier was the winning pitcher giving up 1 hit with 4 strikeouts in 5 innings of work.
The 19s won the 2nd game 11-3.
The big inning was a 7 run 3rd inning.
Skyler Douglas had the big hit a bases loaded double that drove in 3 runs.
Hayden Baumwart was the winning pitcher.
Coach Anthony Markowitz said it was a good way to end the season.
Coach Markowitz said he was glad to give the players a chance to play again.
The Emporia Seniors finish the season with a 18 and 8 record.
