Cleanup work continues for three Emporia businesses after a water line break inside their complex.
The leak developed inside the complex housing Better Life Technologies, Simmons and Therapy Services at 1200 Graphic Arts and was reported around 7 am Saturday but may have happened earlier. A fire line broke just inside the south wall near BLT’s west entrance, flooding all three businesses and also flowing outside. It took close to an hour before the water was turned off once the leak was reported.
Word on equipment or structural damage is pending.

Emporia Public Works is working to resolve a water line break inside a business complex in west Emporia.
The leak apparently developed inside the complex housing Better Life Technologies, Simmons and Therapy Services and was reported around 7 am. Portions of BLT and Simmons are reported as flooded but the extent of interior flooding has not been determined. Water is also flowing outside the building.
