Two area counties are in line for CARES Act Recovery Assistance grants from the US Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration.
Congressman Roger Marshall funds will help to administer revolving loan funds to provide so-called gap funding for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Greenwood County is set to receive a portion of $1.9 million through the South Central Kansas Economic Development District out of Wichita. Coffey County will receive a portion of a $572,000 grant administered by the Southeast Kansas Regional Planning Commission out of Chanute.
In all, $3 million in grants is part of this announcement. Specifics, notably grant amounts and projects, are not being released at this time.
