The MIAA has announced that it will be delaying the start of fall practices and competition.
The start of practices has been moved to August 31st. The start of competitions has been moved to September 28th.
Emporia State Athletic director Kent Weiser said it allows them to get a better idea of how to deal with the coronavirus.
The schedule will pick up with the games or meets scheduled the week of September 28th. The schedules will not be redone.
For Emporia State football that means the elimination of the game at Washburn and the home games against Pittsburg State and Northeastern State. Their first game will be October 3rd at Central Oklahoma.

The first Soccer match will be at Missouri Western October 2nd.

The first volleyball match will be against Central Oklahoma October 2nd.
The Cross Country schedule has not been released.
