Lyon County Public Health has confirmed an eighth death due to coronavirus.
Public Health says the victim was a white woman in her 90s. Further details will not be announced. The death came a month after Lyon County’s seventh COVID-19 death.
The confirmation came after Public Health announced Wednesday’s statistics and will be part of Thursday’s stat set. More information about Wednesday’s figures can be found below.
4 pm Wednesday: Ten new cases reported by Lyon County Public Health
Lyon County Public Health is reporting 10 new COVID-19 cases. That increases the total number of confirmed positive and probable positive cases to 586.
There are 4 new recoveries increasing the number of recoveries to 518. There are now 60 active cases.
Osage County is reporting 2 active cases.
Coffey County is reporting 1 new case and 4 recoveries. There are now 3 active cases in Coffey County.
Greenwood County is reporting 4 active cases.
Wabaunsee County is reporting 2 active cases.
Morris County is reporting no active cases.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is reporting 770 new COVID-19 cases since Monday. That increases the total number of confirmed positive and probable positive cases to 24,104.
There was 1 new death reported for 308.
