Good news for Lyon County drivers affected by road closures after heavy rainfall earlier this week.
All the roads closed due to water have reopened, according to the Lyon County Highway Department. Road openings:
*Road 150 from Roads M to P
*Road 160 from Roads N to P
*Road 190 from Roads K to L
*Road 215 from Roads H-5 to J-7
*Road J south of Road 215
*Road P from Road 140 to 170
The closures around Emporia followed anywhere from 3-9 inches of rainfall, with the bulls-eye near Lyon State Fishing Lake outside Reading. Several flood and flash flood warnings were issued, but major rivers all stayed within their banks after the rainfall ended and none even approached their respective flood stages.
