Lyon County District Court has a massive docket call Friday afternoon with several cases of note.
*Derek Stefan faces seven counts of promoting obscenity, three counts of sexual exploitation and single counts of electronic solicitation and violating the Kansas Offender Registry Act, after alleged activity with five victims ranging in age from 10 to 16. Authorities allege illegal sexual activity periodically from September 2017 to February 2018.
*Aaron Coxwell faces two counts of conspiracy and single counts of theft, attempted theft, burglary and criminal damage after Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal was burglarized in May 2019. Co-defendant Nicholas Hall was sentenced to 31 months in prison last year, while co-defendant Lesli Fontenot got 14 months.
*Seth Wenenn faces a count of aggravated battery, reckless bodily harm, with an alternate count of aggravated battery, intentional physical contact. Wenenn is accused of punching a woman and rendering her briefly unconscious during an altercation this past September.
In all, over 40 cases will be heard Friday — well above the normal 10 cases or so in a typical docket call. The hearings start at 1:15 pm.
