Greenwood County Attorney Joe Lee has a new position.
Governor Laura Kelly has appointed Lee to serve as District Magistrate for the 13th District involving Greenwood, Butler and Elk counties. Lee replaces Kristin Hutchinson, who was appointed to another district judge position in April.
Lee has been the 13th District county attorney since 2008. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1983 and Washburn School of Law in 1986. He fills the magistrate judge position for the rest of the unexpired term.
