There are some suspicious circumstances behind a vehicle fire in northwest Lyon County from Sunday.
Americus, Emporia and Dunlap firefighters were called to Roads 300 and D for the fire around 11:15 pm, with Emporia and Dunlap crews responding. Battalion Chief Tony Fuller says firefighters discovered a fully-engulfed pickup truck when they arrived. Nobody was around at the time.
The truck was destroyed and started a small grass fire. Emporia firefighters took care of the vehicle fire, while Dunlap crews handled the grass fire.
Lyon County deputies are investigating the incident.
