Along with heat and heavy rain, there is now a low-end risk of severe weather for the north half of the KVOE listening area.
The Storm Prediction Center says there is a marginal risk, mainly for high wind.
Slow-moving storms are expected across the area by sunset of slightly afterward. Heavy rain, at least 1-2 inches, is possible Sunday night into Monday morning.
The storms will form along a frontal boundary that will signal the end of our current heat burst. A heat advisory is up for Lyon and most surrounding counties until 7 pm. Slight to moderate chances of storms are possible for most of the week.
