Two Lawrence residents suffered minor injuries following an accident on the Kansas Turnpike Monday evening.
The accident occurred at KTA Southbound mile marker 103.4, roughly 24 miles south of Emporia just before 8 pm. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1999 Honda Civic driven by 32-year-old Dramey Hayden of Lawrence was southbound when Hayden lost control of the vehicle.
The Civic then struck a barrier wall and came to a rest in between both lanes of traffic. KHP reports Laney was complaining of pain due to the accident, however, neither he nor a passenger, 38-year-old Crystal Willett of Lawrence, required medical transport.
Both individuals were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
