Minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident in west Emporia Monday.
The accident occurred at the intersection of West Highway 50 and Industrial Road in front of the Golden Wok restaurant shortly before 5:30 pm. According to Emporia Police Officer Justin Hill, the accident occurred as an eastbound Chevrolet passenger car was preparing to turn off the highway onto Industrial and collided with a westbound pickup.
Officer Hill tells KVOE News the driver of the passenger car suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. No other injuries were reported and no individuals were taken to the hospital.
Officer Hill says future citations are possible, however, the investigation is currently ongoing.
